Its Wednesday in Kenya. What a day we have had. Sango and Walter were up early to go and pick up the surveyor to help us find a place on the school property where we would be able to drill for water. The surveyor was on site by 8:30am. The rest of us join those two at the church in Mambi for the discipleship conference. The good news is the surveyor found water only about 30 meters down. The prayer need is will this shallow well have enough water to support the community. We stand on faith that God will not have brought us this far to fail us now. Join us in this prayer. The driller plsns to drill the well as soon as possible. The discipleship conference was held at the Mambi church today. We had 8 pastors at the conference and 8 different church represented. A total of 50 pastors and church leaders were there. We had worship for the first hour and a half and then they introduced me to explain and give encouragement for Bible study. I spent the next 1 1/2 hour explaining different Bible study methods, watching the church come together some for the first time and practise what they were taught. I broke them into small groups and gave them 15 minutes to study the scripture together, when we tried to bring them back together they wouldn’t break from their groups, they loved it so much. What a great problem to have!!!! We then gave to the local pastors study bibles and promised that more bibles for the congregations would be coming. One of the needs here for bible study is the bible its self. Many in these congregations can not afford the word of God. I felt God saying to me, Kathy, you have prayed that the Word would change lives…..these people need the Word of God so their lives can be changed. Hide it under a bushel, oh no, Im going to let it shine. After the conference we were off to another primary school (Kigama Primary) just down the road from Mambi, the head master asked us to come. We were able to go classroom to classroom encourageing the children to work hard and God would bless their work. Karen did a wonderful job of letting the kids here see that in life there is possiblities and with hard work, school, and God all things are possible. We gave out another 600 pencils and bookmarks. The children were so excited to receive a pencil and bookmark from us. We are back at the motel waiting for dinner, then looking forward to bed and getting some rest, ready to start tomorrow fresh. May God used the work that was done today to bring Him glory and may God’s people learn the power of His word in their lives. Continue to pray.

Kathy, Sango, Karen and the whole team. We are back here in Michigan praying for you all. Please be encouraged that God will finish what he started there in Kenya. Believe that all things are possible for Him! The well will be drilled!
