Today was a rest day for the team and we all took full advanage of it. We travel to Busia this morning to do some shopping. Tumaini received his first Kenyan hair cut, we exchanged money and then back home. Sango and Walter went out to track down Sango’s primary school math/science teacher, the rest of us just rested. It was a wonderful time of prayer and reflection for me.
Then in the evening we headed out to set up to show The Jesus film. At the start of the film there where was about 100 people and by the end of the film 400 more people had gathered. Pastor Walter gave the call to trust Christ and maybe 200 people came forward. We prayed with lots of people. Praise God, may all of these peoples lives be changed for His glory.
The well is being dug which we praise God for. Tomorrow after church and the discipleship conference at Sijoa, we will head back to Mambai to see the progress. Continue to pray for us as little Amani has had stomach problems today. Pray for the discipleship conference tomorrow and pray that the drilling of the well goes as planned.
I’m being well taken care of. At the film tonight, a young man who had way to much to drink made a proposition to me and Walter came to my rescue. I laughed so hard….anyway at 50, I still got it, at least if you have had enough to drink. Tomorrow we start again…it will be a long day but hopefully a God directed day. Onward Christain soldiers!!!
